Pouya Ahmadi is a graphic designer / video artist based in Chicago / USA. He moved to the city of Basel in 2007. He received his MFA degree in visual communication from the Basel School of Design (HGK/UIC) in 2009. He received his bachelor degree in Visual Communication at the University of Tehran. He has worked as a freelance designer and also for several design studios (Didgraphics / Neshan) since 2002. He has shown works in several international poster exhibitions, and received his first international design award in a poster competition held in Shanghai in 2006. He was awarded the first prize of the poster biennial in Tehran in 2007. In 2012 He was awarded "Certificate of Typographic Excellence" by the Type Directors Club (TDC) New York.
