Lobke van Aar (1982) is an artist. She works in the fields of illustration and graphic design from her studio in 's-Hertogen-bosch, the Netherlands.
When she was a little girl she never went anywhere without her little suitcase filled with paper, pencils and markers. Today we are proud to announce that she recently won the prestigious European Design Award 2011 with a series of editorial illustrations.
Lobke loves hand lettering and combining different mediums in her work. She thinks 'out of the box' and focuses on detail. In her day to day life it's the small things that can jump out and inspire her.
Lobke also shows her work at exhibitions, is leading workshops and likes to talk about her work.
